To highlight the national problem of rideshare denials by Uber and Lyft drivers to people who are blind or visually impaired because of their guide dogs, Guide Dogs for the Blind commissioned a survey of blind people about rideshare service, finding that more than 83% had experienced multiple denials of service by drivers. I wrote this press release about the findings, and pitched it to national news outlets, resulting in multiple national media stories, including a piece on NBC Nightly News.
